Cows

The ladies that make SME Farms, LLC.

PAE Ellen “Ellen”

Reg #37868
DOB: 10/20/2017
MCR Jacked Up x CRF Acadia
Although she’s not a red carrier herself, we would like to have twenty Ellen’s in the pasture, and we’re ecstatic she’s given us two red carrier heifers, Echo and Etch! Ellen’s sire is MCR Jacked Up, and his name speaks for himself. She is almost everything you could want in a cow. She does get a bit nervous in the chute, but none of her calves have shown the same anxious behavior.
Confirmed bred to “Arlo” for 4/10/2026 calf! Will be available at weaning.

*All EPD testing is done through Neogen Beef Genomics

SME Faye Label “Faye”

Reg #47861
DOB: 05/04/2022
MVC Bennett x Flucy
Faye is out of Flucy, a polled Hereford heifer we got in 2018 and Fuzz, a red carrier bull we had out of Bess’s Admiral. Every calf out of Flucy is apprehensive of strangers, and will pick “their humans.” They do take two years to settle down, but they have always taken their calf and one of the first ones to breed back. This line crossed with the American Aberdeen make a great steak and is a favorite to everyone who gets one!
Confirmed bred to “Nutz” for 4/10/2026 calf!

Gina

Char x Angus x White Park Cross
DOB: 2022?
Gina gives the vibes of Long Island accent and the sass to match. No round bale is safe with Gina in the pasture, but she’ll come make sure you don’t have any treats to
give up either. If you don’t see the calves, Aunt Gina has them!
Confirmed bred to “Nutz” for 5/21/2026 calf!

SME Echo Surprise “Echo”

Reg #48396
DOB: 04/08/2023
MVC Bennett x PAE Ellen
Echo will stop traffic when they stop by! A red carrier out of Ellen with the total package. She was extremely easy to halter break, and handling her doesn’t seem to ever be an issue. The plans are to introduce her to the show world, because a heifer of this quality deserves to be seen!
Confirmed bred to “Arlo” for 4/21/2026 calf!

*All EPD testing is done through Neogen Beef Genomics

SME Blackstone Moshi “Moshi”

Reg #50131
DOB: 03/23/2024
MCR Black Gold x Batt 29J “Minnie”
We do not sugar coat things here at SME Farms, LLC. Moshi was a hard pull, details under dam’s notes, but she is an endearing little heifer that was easy as pie to halter break. Her wide hips and chest floor, plus a rib cage spring we’ve been chasing
for our herd for years has made it an easy decision to keep her at least her
first calf.
Confirmed bred to “Opie” for 4/8/2026 calf!

*All EPD testing is done through Neogen Beef Genomics

Reference Cows/Goals

This block will have our breed favorite females, and maybe goal looks to strive for.

Kobblevale Surprise

Reg #6444
DOB: 02/09/2005
One of my favorite lines off of build alone, let alone what her and her progeny have don in the show ring. The University of Findlay is carrying out my dreams of crossing this line with Brenton lines. A great cow family to have on any set of papers.
